The visit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is a key part of the 2023-2024 activities of the 8th BPW. President Kuo Shou-Chen led Vice President Chou Yu-Ping and Asia Pacific Coordinator candidate Dr. Chien Her-Lin to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to present the key activities report. This meeting was not just a simple exchange but delved deeply into the challenges and opportunities Taiwan faces in international affairs. Attending the meeting were Director-General of the Department of International Affairs, Chen Kang-Yi, Counselor of the Ministry’s Secretariat, Lee Wen, Section Chief of the Department of International Cooperation and Development, Cheng Yen-Shan, and Officer of the NGO International Affairs Committee, Yu Man-Chen. Together, they discussed how Taiwan can strengthen international cooperation and enhance its influence on the global stage. A major focus of the meeting was how future BPW activities will align with Taiwan’s diplomatic strategies, particularly in promoting Taiwan’s international image through women’s leadership, economic development, and international aid. This visit not only symbolizes the close cooperation between BPW and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs but also demonstrates Taiwan’s determination to expand its international participation and influence through multi-stakeholder collaboration in addressing global challenges.
