A Letter From BPW Taiwan President

Dear Sisters,
Since our return from the CSW Leadership Summit in New York, so much has happened. Apart from incorporating all your insights and talents into the upcoming Global Cross-Cultural Sisterhood Academy, scheduled from May 22nd to 25th, Taiwan has recently experienced a significant earthquake felt across the island: the April 3rd earthquake, measuring 7.2 on the Richter scale! This is the strongest earthquake we’ve had in 25 years since the 921 earthquake in 1999.
On the day of the earthquake, April 3rd, we received an outpouring of love and support from all of you worldwide, which profoundly moved and immensely touched us. Your solidarity means the world to us, especially at such a time, highlighting your friendship and care even more. We are enormously grateful for the generous assistance you have extended to Taiwan in our time of need!
Despite continuous aftershocks in the past few days, we are relieved to report that all our sisters in Taiwan are safe. The most affected areas are primarily in Taiwan’s northern and eastern regions, particularly in Hualien, where the situation is most severe.
As we express our gratitude, let us pray for those needing assistance! Let us harness the power of our sisterhood to make a more significant impact in the world. We sincerely invite you to join us in Taiwan for the Global Cross-Cultural Sisterhood Academy in May, giving us the honor of hosting you and eagerly anticipating our reunion!
Warmest regards,
Shou-Chen Kuo
BPW Taiwan President
